Who can join and membership cost

Open to members aged 16-30; annual fee $50 (covers Young Labor & party dues). Guardian consent required for under-18s; online ID verification via Portal.

Campus clubs & policy forums

Clubs at eight universities—2,100 student members; O-Week recruitment 2025 brought in 450. Annual 'Policy Pitch' weekend—teams craft motions for State Conference; 2024 winner on rental-bond escrow adopted. Regional youth fora hosted in Ballarat and Bendigo each August.

Internships and career pathways

Parliamentary internship scheme places 30 students a year in Labor MPs' offices; paid at Assembly intern rate.
