Background and political history
Vietnam veteran and crocodile-farmer Warren Entsch has been the colourful voice of Far North Queensland since 1996 (with one term out 2007-10). A moderate on LGBTIQ+ rights and medicinal-cannabis access, he serves as Opposition Envoy for the Great Barrier Reef, pushing crown-of-thorn eradication, reef-credit markets and Cape York tourism infrastructure.
