Background and political history
Dr Gordon Reid is a Wiradjuri emergency-physician who wrested the bellwether Central Coast seat of Robertson from the Liberals in 2022. Raised in Umina and educated at UNSW, Reid worked on the Covid frontline at Royal Prince Alfred and Gosford hospitals. In Parliament he champions regional GP incentives, high-speed rail linking Gosford to Sydney in 25 minutes, and seagrass-carbon restoration in Brisbane Water.
