Biography
Background and political history
Jason Clare has represented the culturally diverse seat of Blaxland since 2007 and is renowned for his effective election-campaign strategy in Western Sydney. Appointed Education Minister in 2022, he commissioned the Universities Accord, doubled pre-school educators and expanded fee-free TAFE. Earlier, as Minister for Home Affairs he spearheaded the National Crime Commission's illegal-firearms crackdown and, in opposition, authored *The Game* (2021) on education and class.
